Wedding FAQs
Frequently Asked
Questions
Q. Can we have my photos in black &
white?
A. Yes! Any or all images can be converted to black and white
after your wedding, it's up to you. And we don't simply take away the
colour. We personally adjust contrast and shading for each individual
image. We also offer special effects such as
colourising and montage
compositing. Q. How soon can we
see our photos?
A. In most case photos are posted to your private online web
album within 48 hours after your wedding day. At most, this will be
complete within seven days following. You can give us a list of e-mail
addresses that you would like us to use to e-mail the web link and
password as soon as they are ready. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of
photos on disc and prints. (Print delivery dependent on receipt of print
order.)
Q. Why do we need two photographers?
A. Two photographers can simply cover more ground than one can.
Using two photographers means that we can cover two events going on at
the same time (like while the bride and bridesmaids are getting ready in
one room and groomsmen are getting ready in another). Two photographers
can shoot the same thing from two different angles (one near the front
of your ceremony and one from the rear). And two photographers bring a
diverse eye to your photos while not compromising quality or diverting
too broadly away from the style you expect.
Q. Can our guests and family order
prints of our wedding?
A. Yes! Anyone with a credit card and Internet access can access
your private web album (if you wish) to order prints online. The prints
are typically shipped within seven to 10 days following the order.
Q. Do you print "normal" wedding albums?
A. Yes, and no. We can supply "normal" photo prints that can be used
to create traditional wedding print photo albums. We also offer
very unique "coffee table" style
books--professionally designed, "perfect" bound (like most
high-end coffee table books), with beautiful cover options
(including fine Italian leather). Plus, you can order identical but
slightly smaller versions for parents, or small "mini" versions
for guests and family members.
Q. Can we have the negatives of our
wedding photos?
A. As we shoot 100% digital, there are no "negatives" per se. The
packages we offer include medium resolution tagged images for your
reference and to use for electronic distribution (i.e. e-mail). The full
resolution images can be purchased (typically on a DVD-ROM disc) for an
additional $200. See the wedding packages
page for more details. Q.
How many photos will we get?
A. It depends on the length of your ceremony and reception, and
on the number of people in your bridal party. A typical three-hour event
with four people in the wedding party will usually end up with about
350-400 photos. Q. Do you do
"local" weddings?
A. Yes, and no. Due to time demands and limited availability we
tend to focus almost all of our attention for wedding photography on
destination weddings. Please
contact
us with your wedding information if you are interested in our
services. Q. Are you as
good as the photographers where we live?
A. You decide.
